The goal of this project is to design a watering can that is made from plastic by the injection molding process. I designed it to be compact and easy to use. I use the marbling art graphic technique, which gives it a beautiful look. This new watering can is also a valuable item of art that is a must-have item for many people.
The form derives from a minimalist hollow circle shape. I chose marbling art technique for the surface to make the product more interesting.
PROCESS
First I sketched the form of this project then made a study model. I learned about how to apply marble graphics on the surface of a watering can. I made a prototype and technical drawing.
TARGET GROUP
The design is aimed at the plant lovers. The watering can is perfect for indoor gardening. The watering can has a minimalist narrow spout, which is suitable for cactus and any small pot plants. Watering can hold 1.5 liters of water. This watering can be perfect for the small plant on the table with a beautiful design. This product has inspired a hollow heart-shape with marbling art technique to be more interesting.
